1. Blogger is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

2. Gmail is a free Web-based email service provided by Google. On April 1, 2004 the product began as an invitation-only beta release. On February 7, 2007 the beta version was opened to the general public.With an initial storage capacity of 1 GB, it drastically increased the standard for free storage.

3. Google Alerts notifies its users (by email) about the latest web and news pages of their choice. Google currently offers six types of alert searches: "News", "Web", "Blogs", "Comprehensive", "Video" and "Groups".

4. Google Analytics is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website. Its main highlight is that the product is aimed at Marketers as opposed to webmasters and technologists from which the industry of web analytics originally grew.

5. Google Code Search is a free beta product from Google which debuted in Google Labs on October 5, 2006 allowing web users to search for open-source code on the Internet.

6. Google Directory is a searchable directory based on the ODP, combined with their own PageRank algorithm within each category.

7. Google Docs is a free, Web-based word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation application. It allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating in real-time with other users. Google Docs combines the features of two services, Writely and Spreadsheets, which were merged into a single product on October 10, 2006.
   

8. Google Groups 2 is where groups of people have discussions about common interests. Internet users can find discussion groups related to their interests and participate in threaded conversations, either through the Google Groups web interface, or by e-mail. They can also start new groups. Google Groups also includes an archive of Usenet newsgroup postings dating back to 1981 and supports reading and posting to Usenet groups. Users can also set up mailing list archives for e-mail lists that are hosted elsewhere.

9. Google Image Search is a search service which allows users to search the Web for image content. The keywords for the image search are based on the filename of the image, the link text pointing to the image, and text adjacent to the image. When searching for an image, a thumbnail of each matching image is displayed. Then when clicking on a thumbnail, the image is displayed in a frame at the top of the page and the website on which that image was found is displayed in a frame below it, making it easier to see from where the image is coming.

Google Maps is a free web mapping service application and technology provided by Google that powers many map-based services including the Google Maps website, Google Ride Finder and embedded maps on third-party websites via the Google Maps API. It offers street maps, a route planner for bicycles, pedestrians (routes less than 6.2 miles[1]) and cars, and an urban business locator for numerous countries around the world.

11. Google News is an automated news aggregator . The initial idea, StoryRank—related to Google's PageRank formula—was developed by Krishna Bharat in 2001, the Principal Research Scientist of Google. Google News left beta in January 2006.

12. Google Suggest is a search engine feature that guesses what you're typing and offers suggestions in real time. This is similar to Google's "Did you mean?" feature that offers alternative spellings for your query after you search, except that it works in real time.

13. Google Talk is a Windows and web-based application for voice over internet protocol (VOIP) and instant messaging. Instant messaging between the Google Talk servers and its clients uses an open protocol, XMPP, allowing users of other XMPP clients to communicate with Google Talk users. VoIP in Google Talk is based around the Jingle protocol. The technology used within the Google server network however is not publicly known.

Google Translate is a service provided by Google Inc. to translate a section of text, or a webpage, into another language, with limits to the number of paragraphs, or range of technical terms, translated. For some languages, users are asked for alternate translations, such as for technical terms, to be included for future updates to the translation process. Unlike other translation services such as Babel Fish, AOL, and Yahoo which use SYSTRAN, Google uses its own translation software.

15. Google Trends Google Trends charts how often a particular search term is entered relative the total search volume across various regions of the world, and in various languages. The horizontal axis of the main graph represents time (starting from some time in 2004), and the vertical is how often a term is searched for relative to the total number of searches, globally. Below the main graph, popularity is broken down by region, city and language. It is possible to refine the main graph by region and time period.

16. Google Video is a free video sharing website and also a video service from Google that allows anyone to upload video clips to Google's web servers as well as make their own media available free of charge; some videos are also offered for sale through the Google Video Store.

The icon and logo is a stylized house formed by the aperture blades of a photographic lens. In July 2004, Google acquired Picasa and began offering Picasa for free download.
